This is a known problem with Safari.

well, I get it with FoxFire also, so maybe the FAQ doesn't help here.

I'd say the problem either lies in stuffit ex, or with macs in general.

Yes, sorry. The problem is with Panther, not Safari.

again, I'm not running Panther, and I get the same problem occasionally.

Sorry to make it seem like I'm busting your balls, Jonathan, I'm just trying to specify the problem and It's source.

I've been trying to see what can be done about it, and if I find a solution, I'll let you all know.

Ok here it is generally: many of our ZIPs do not work on Macs. We plan to eventually fix it. For the time being, there are a variety of workarounds listed in previous forum posts.

Hmmm, I've only had problems once-or-twice with zip's, and I've done a lot of downloads from the Archive. I run Panther and use Stuffit to unzip files. I do use an FTP client, not Safari, for downloading.
